Please note this website is our guest information website that has been keeping our guests informed over the last 6 months of exactly what's happening. 10 August 2009 THANK YOU ALL! Hi everyone, A quick word from Luke and Andrea GIBSON!!
We will be thanking you all individually as our time frees up this week, so please excuse the group email for the time being.Yesterday we had a great breakfast at Rydges with many of you followed by a smaller group for lunch.
We retired back to our room early evening to reflect on the events of the previous 24 hours. We opened up the wishing well and read through the various prediction cards and went through the many monetary gifts.
We were incredibly overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity to the point of both of us being in tears. We thought we’d wipe away the tears and listen to the audio soundtrack of the show starting with Act 3 and were in tears again very soon after! We listened to “I Promise”, the song which continued our vows and when we slipped on the rings the clapping and cheering was deafening. It truly was amazing.Beyond the show, the reception contained countless priceless moments.
Many guests came up to Andrea and simply stated various versions of “I haven’t met you yet Andrea but I feel like I have known you all of my life”. The guests would then hug her. At least a couple of dozen men came up to Andrea and openly admitted they had wept during the course of the show. You have no idea how affecting the response has been to our wedding.
To simplify, it really solidifies the three things in life which are most important to us: family, friends and music. Today we collected our gifts from the theatre and will take the time to open them tonight.Thank you so very much to everyone who came along, for all of your gifts and well wishes and for sharing our special day. It was a magnificent night and without doubt the highlight of our lives. We are very blessed to have you all in attendance.Much love, Andrea and Luke xxxx Photo taken by Amanda Duncan... thanks Amanda! 28 July 2009 We've realised that so many of you are really wanting to buy us a gift (even though we don't expect one) and some are confused as to what to buy. We have just signed the lease on a new rental property and it is much bigger than our current cramped housing, so a voucher at any of the following places would be ideal. (We have simple tastes) Fantastic Furniture Villa and Hut Kmart/Target BBQ's Galore Myer (There is a registry too) Again, we really just want this to be a wonderful day shared with family and friends, but we admit defeat; the amount of enquiries from all of you has been overwhelming and we are humbled.
We will still have a wishing well at the wedding for your well wishes and predictions. We have been asked by a number of guests if we have an actual bridal registry at a store. We have now created a myer gift registry "wish list" for those who would really like to buy a gift instead of the wishing well. MYER REGISTRY NUMBER: 613172 Welcome to the first step of what promises to be a wedding of mammoth proportions. The wedding of Andrea and Luke will be a musical extravaganza in 3 Acts: a show not to be missed. With 300 of our closest friends and family, we want to celebrate this 're' - union of two people who were destined to be together. Andrea and Luke: The Musical is the story of a couple of kids born on the same day who experience life in parallel universes. Coming together for a short time and then parting again, only to have their paths collide 20 years later. The rest is lifted straight from the script of a Hollywood romantic comedy. This website is designed to keep you up to date with information about accommodation, flights, venue, and other exciting news as it happens. We can't wait to see you there! Andrea and Luke |
